From 75w, to 100w, to 150w and now...the 200w

There are so many cool 200 watt box mods out right now, they're definitely the new, trendy thing. If you want to try this cloud makin' new piece of machine, I would recommend anything with a DNA 200 that you know for sure is made from EVOLV. The only thing with the new 200 watt mods with the EVOLV chips, as far as I am aware, is that they require a LiPo battery (short for ""Lithium Polymer battery""). I believe this is because of the issues the high wattage mods using 18650s were having. If one cell failed (even failed to charge fully) it was disastrous. Using a 3 cell LiPo can solve that problem.

I really like this mod. They are a LiPo battery, but you are able to buy extras/replacements. (Seasoned vapers would know how to change this battery, however, most won't know how to change it). I own a snow wold plus a variant and I have never had such a consistent and powerful vape. I have to actually turned it lower than I normally would with other mods. So it is either the EVOLV chipset or this is just a bad ass mod.  The downside... It's LiPo batteries. More of a pain to charge if you are not right by the plug-in.

I have always been a fan of Volcano products. Their 1-year manufacturer warranty is a great plus, too. I don't own one of these, but I do have a lot of other Volcano products and the pulse modulation is always far superior to any other company. This is also a LiPo battery device, but I have heard good things about the battery life lasting a long time. Of course this is all relative depending on the wattage you are running. I love that the sleeves are interchangeable too so you can switch up the color.

If you are into those unique colors, the Tugboat DNA 200 are definitely great mods. Same capabilities of the other two I mentioned, but totally unique blood splatter patterns. Flawless vape is known for their signature designs on mods and if you are into the very square edges this is a great mod for you!

Lithium Polymer Batteries (LiPo). LiPo batteries have been around for a long time and many RC hobbyists have used them for their advanced remote control cars. They are also the same types of batteries in many smartphones and laptops we use every day. In the vaping industry, LiPo batteries are in eGo batteries and regulated box mods. LiPo batteries are NOT safe chemistry batteries and require a protection circuit for the processor. In thermal runaway the reactions are extremely violent. Thermal runaway refers to a situation where an increase in temperature changes the conditions in a way that causes a further increase in temperature, often leading to a destructive result. It is a kind of uncontrolled positive feedback.

 

LiPo Battery Safety:

- LiPo batteries have very sensitive charging characteristics and may explode or burn if not handled properly.

- Always charge on a fire-proof surface.

- Never leave charging batteries unattended.

- Do not use any rechargeable battery as well as any battery charger if there is any visible damage.

- Always store and transport rechargeable cells in a safe, non-conductive container.

- Dispose of all battery cells and chargers in accordance with local laws.
